Burying The Hatchet (Maryse/Raina)

Maryse paced up and down the Divas Locker Room. It had been long after the Raw show had ended, and yet the French Canadian Diva still had stayed behind. She was trying to hold everything in and not just break down, but it was very difficult at this time to refrain herself from doing just that.

Everything had seemed to be going a mess in her life. She had met the most amazing guy and as soon as pictures surfaced about her dating Mike - her ex-boyfriend had showed up to her hotel room, demanding to know what her relationship was with Mike. And when she didn't answer, he only ruthlessly attacked her.

And, now she was expected to meet Mike after the show but she didn't know how she could tell him any of this, or hide her still visable scars. She didn't want to cause chaos between Mike, and her ex-boyfriend...

Suddenly, Maryse just crashed onto a bench in the locker room. The weight of it all was becoming too much for her and she didn't know who to run to, or what to do. The blonde covered her face with her hands and began to do something she hadn't done in awhile: cry.

Rai stepped into the locker room still sore from her ladder match. She saw Maryse crying. "Awww did daddy cancel your credit card?"

Maryse quickly jumped when she heard another voice enter the locker room. Her face showed fear until she noticed who it was. Quickly, Maryse scowled.

"Shut up, bitch." Coldly, the Diva answered back as she stood up and walked over toward her locker. She had no time for Raina's games.

Rai was about to respond when she saw scars on Maryse's neck and arms. "Maryse what happened?" Rai asked quietly.

Maryse turned around with a scowl still on her face, she had followed where Rai's eyes were looking at and slowly gulped.

"Nothing." Maryse said simply, but still coldly as she readjusted her hair to cover her neck and looked for a sweater in her locker to cover the scars on her arm.

Rai went to her and moved her hair back. "Chica that doesn't look like nothing." Rai said in a quiet tone that she had never used with the blonde diva.

Maryse angrily flicked Raina's hand away as her eyes began to swell up with tears. "I said it was nothing!" She yelled, though her voice was now raspy and broken.

Rai took a deep breath and decided to show Maryse scars that only a few people have seen. Rai locked the locker room door then came over. She lifted her shirt off and showed scars on her back always covered up. "I know you've been through something that gave you scars like these."

Maryse's eyes became soft. She began to feel true relation to Raina for just a moment. Though shortly, her cold, hard act that she loved to put on had kicked back into her.

"I don't know what you're talking about." She scoffed. "I'm not like you. I don't get those scars."

Rai looked at Maryse. "Remember what I told you in the gym? That I'm called a Fallen Angel for a reason? Talk to me Maryse. I know how your feeling."

"You don't know anything!" Maryse angrily yelled, nearly in tears.

"W-Why do you want to help me out so bad, huh? I hear how you talk about me and what you think about me. What, did you do something bad and now you want to help out the poor dumb Diva. Save your pity, bitch."

Maryse rolled her eyes and took her make-up foundation out of her gym bag and began to apply it on her arms where her scars were.

"Because I'm not a cold heartless bitch. I'm not giving you pity. I'm giving you understanding." Rai took the foundation from her and covered the scars better then she was doing. "No one understands when you get attacked unless they have." Rai said in a low tone her Spanish accent coming out in a comforting tone.

Maryse gave up. She completely gave up defending her lies and putting effort into pushing other people away. The French Canadian diva just crumbled to the ground. She felt completely worthless and pitiful.

"This kind of stuff isn't suppose to happen to me." She cried and brought her knees up to her chest. "I'm not the kind of girl this stuff happens to!"

Rai put the foundation down and lifted Maryse's chin. "What happened?"

Maryse sniffled, and tried to get the words out.

"He wouldn't stop. He just wouldn't stop, Raina...My ex-boyfriend saw these pictures...They were of Mike and I and he came to my hotel room...Just screaming "What are these? What are these?"...I was so scared to answer him...I didn't know what to say, because he looked so angry...But, he knew the pictures were what they were and he just grabbed me...He choked me by neck, bruised my legs, my arms...I honestly felt like I was going to die that night in that hotel room."

Rai wrapped her arms around the trembling diva. "Shhhh." Rai ran her hand over her hair. "Su seguro ahora. Prometo que está a salvo." Rai whispered.

Maryse began to whimper and cry on hysterically as she laid her head on Raina's arms. Her thoughts went on from memories of the night in the hotel room, to her fear of Mike's safety to even the fear of her own safety.

Rai sat down and pulled her close. She rubbed her head and decided to sing softly.

Maryse's head slowly lifted up, by now her mascara had been smeared and ran down her cheeks. "Why are you being so nice to me?" She asked dazed and confused as her voice was still soft and broken.

"Like I said I know how it feels to be hurt like that." Rai said with understanding eyes.

"...B-But, I've been such a bitch to you. You should be laughing in my face." Maryse said, still dazed. She couldn't understand how anyone could be so kind and nice to someone they were on such bad terms with.

"I'm a fallen angel." Rai said simply. "Hell I'm even starting to forgive Mike."

Maryse began to look puzzle as she wiped under her eye. "Forgive Mike, for what?"

Rai shook her head. "It's not improtant." Rai said as she looked at the diva.

Maryse stared at Rai for awhile with curiosity. She didn't believe that it "wasn't important" as Rai insisted it was. The diva shook her head as she looked down toward her scars.

"I can't even let Mike see this scars. I don't know what he will say or try to do to him. And, I don't know how to hide it."
