Scared of the Truth

Kiara was lying on the bed, chewing the end of her pen, her songbook in front of her.

John got the food together and sat on the bed. He handed her a carton. "Here you go."

Kiara closed the book and lied her tape recorder down on it before she started eating. "Thank you baby," Kiara said.

"Welcome." John responded before he started eating.

Kiara pressed play on her tape recorder as she listened to the first verse of the song she'd been working on.

John listened and smiled. "Wow that sounds good."

"It's still a work in progress," Kiara said.

"Still good."

"I finished one earlier today," Kiara said.

"Really?'

Kiara nodded. "You wanna hear it?" Kiara asked.

"Absolutely."

"It's called Quitter," Kiara said as she poped in the tape she'd recorded it on.

He leaned over and kissed her. "I love it."

Kiara blushed. "I'm in the process of writing one for you," Kiara said.

"You know you don't have to."

"You're my biggest inspiration Johnny," Kiara said.

He smiled then kissed her.

Kiara kissed him back.

He pulled away and put his forehead on hers. "You're my inspiration too."

Kiara smiled. "John, what do want the baby to be?" Kiara asked. "I want a girl."

"A girl would be nice. I don't care as long as the baby is healthy."

"If it is a girl knowing you you'll spoil her rotten," Kiara said.

He smiled with a large smile. "You bet I will. So will Rai and everyone else."

"And god forbid when she's a teenager, you'll kill any guy that even looks at her," Kiara laughed.
