New Family

Rai looked up from the movie and answered her cell phone. She saw it was Shannon. "Babe where are you?" Rai asked sitting up.

Brian and Matt looked up at her.

"Stupid car broke down," Shannon muttered.

"I'm on my way. Boys go put your jackets on." Rai said. "You didn't take it to the shop did you?"

They jumped up and ran to the coat rack. "Mama Matt is pushing me!" "Am not!"

"No," Shannon said.

Rai got up. "Matthew James, Brian Christopher if you do not stop it!"

Brian put his jacket on.

Rai helped Matt with his.

Shannon chuckled.

Rai rolled her eyes even though Shannon couldn't see it. Rai opened the door. "Holy crap the rain is coming down."

"Yeah," Shannon said.

Rai closed the front door and opened the garage door. "Okay boys come on." Rai opened the car door and lifted them up. She started to buckle them in. "I'll be there in about thirty to forty." Rai said as she got in the front seat.

"Okay," Shannon said.

Rai smiled. "I'll see you soon. Stay inside."

Rai started to drive.

Matt kicked Brian.

"I'm in my car," Shannon said.

"Momma!" Brian whined

"What Brian?" Rai asked putting the phone on speaker. "Shan your on speaker."

"Daddy Shan!" Matt yelled.

"Matt kicked me!" Brian said.

"Behave you two," Shannon said.

"I did not!"

Rai groaned. "They are never ever getting watched by Adam and Jay ever again." Rai saw a girl on the side of the road and felt a little sad for her.

"Awwww, why not?" Shannon chuckled.

"They taught Matt how to spear!"

"Spear! Spear! Spear!" Matt yelled.

Shannon chuckled.

"Shannon it's not funny." Rai said in exasperation.

Matt was laughing.

Shannon held back another laugh.

Rai pulled up to the arena. She parked by his car. She turned the phone off and unlocked the door.

Standing next to his car Shannon repeatedly kicked it, muttering obscenities under his breath.

Rai rolled down the window a little. "I said stay dry."

"Stupid thing," Shannon muttered walking to her car.

Rai rolled her eyes. "Shan kicking it won't make it work."

Matt laughed. "Daddy Shan is all wet."
