The First Big Test (Tessa/Tyler)

Trish absolutely hated leaving Tessa at home when she was sick, sure Tyler was going to be there with her but Trish knew how stubborn her daughter could be. If there was a way to get out of this photoshoot she would, but she couldn't.

"Her medicine is on the counter, I wrote out a little schedule of when to give it to her to help you," Trish said. "Just make sure you keep track of her temperature, don't let it get too high. "If you get overwhelmed, call Chris' sister Jenna, she's a doctor, she can help."

"Don't worry about us too much, we'll be fine. If anything happens, I'll text you. NOw shoo, before you're late."

Trish nodded, slipping out the door before Tessa had the chance to notice.

"Tessa, Trish is leaving!"
Tyler called, not knowing where she was at the moment.

"Mommy," Tessa whimpered, crawling into the living room.

"She just left, but I'm still here. So what do you want to do?"

Tessa coughed and pouted.

"Want my mommy," Tessa whimpered.

"She'll be back in a few minutes Tessa, just chill for a while, and she'll be back before you know. And I think dad might be coming home too."

Tessa crawled back into her bedroom and crawled into bed, pulling her Pooh Bear close.

"Do you want anything?"
He asked, poking his head into her bedroom.

"Sit with me?" Tessa asked with big blue eyes.

"I can do that."
He smiled, sitting next to her in her bed. He grabbed the remote for the TV.
"Want to watch TV?"

Tessa nodded.

He flipped through the channels until Spongebob appeared on the screen.
"This okay?"
He asked, trying to keep her as happy as possible.

Tessa nodded, watching the screen.

Tyler chuckled, still amused by Spongebob, even at his age.

"Ty-Ty likes?" Tessa asked.

"Yeah, I do. He's still funny."
He said, chuckling at his nickname.

Tessa nodded, snuggling up next to Tyler.

Tyler wrapped an arm around her, letting her get closer.

Tessa looked up and smiled.

Tyler smiled at her.

Tessa started to fall asleep.

Tyler turn the volume on the TV down, letting her fade off for a nap.

Tessa woke up about thirty minutes later.
