They Said it'd Never Happen

Matt smiled as her pulled up to Amy's house. He was extremely happy when Amy had agreed to give them a second chance after the disaster that had happened all those years ago. Getting out of his car in a pair of black dress pants and a red button down, his hair pulled up in a ponytail and black shoes he smile as he knocked on the door.

Amy opened the door with a smile. She was wearing a black dress that hugged her curves nicely and her red hair was curled slightly. She was barefoot. "Let me put my shoes on real quick and I'll be ready to go."

"Alright," Matt smiled.

Amy went into the living room and sat down to put on the simple black heels. She stood up and went back to Matt grabbing the small clutch and her wrap. "Alright you ready to go?"

"I'm ready if you are," Matt said.

Amy nodded and then smiled. "You look nice Matt." She then stepped ouside.

"Thank you," Matt said. "You look beautiful."

"Thanks." Amy locked her door and then slipped her hand into Matt's. "So what did you have in mind for tonight?"

"Well, I got us reservations at this really nice Italian place I know," Matt said.

"Sounds good." Amy said with a small smile as she got into the car.

Matt closed Amy's door and got into the driver's side.

Amy smiled. "Always the Southern gentleman."

Matt smiled. "Of course," Matt said.

Amy laughed slightly.

"I've missed your laugh," Matt admitted.

Amy smiled. "I've missed you." She said softly.

Matt took Amy's hand in his. "Don't worry, I've got you now," Matt said.

Amy smiled and squeezed his hand. "Yes you do and you have me now."

"And I'm not letting you go this time," Matt said.

"Same here Matt." Amy said as she leaned over and kissed his cheek.

Matt kissed Amy.

Amy smiled.
